Kevin Ayers (nascido em 16 de agosto de 1944 em Herne Bay, Kent ) é um Inglês cantor e compositor e foi uma grande força influente no movimento psicodélico Inglês. BBC DJ John Peel escreveu em sua autobiografia que "talento Kevin Ayers 'é tão aguda que você poderia realizar cirurgia ocular grande com ele". 
Ayers foi um dos fundadores da banda pioneira psicodélico Soft Machine no final dos anos 1960, e estava intimamente associada com a cena Canterbury.  Ele já gravou uma série de álbuns como artista solo e ao longo dos anos tem trabalhado com Brian Eno, Syd Barrett, John Cale, Elton John, Robert Wyatt, Andy Summers, Mike Oldfield, Nico e Ollie Halsall, entre outros. Depois de viver por muitos anos em Deia, ele retornou ao Reino Unido em meados de 1990. Ele agora vive no sul da França. Seu álbum mais recente foi Unfairground, que foi gravado em Nova York, Tucson, Arizona, e em Londres, em 2006.
