Eu estava encarregado de o design do box set em si, um livreto de 22 páginas, e re-artworking toda a arte do álbum para se ajustar carteiras de cartão. Como muita da arte antiga não está disponível em qualquer formato editável, em muitos casos, isto requer a criação da arte a partir do zero. A idéia original chamado para um produto premium para capitalizar sobre um ano para se sentir bem grande para o país, mantendo a integridade dos álbuns clássicos dentro.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer's 1970 eponymous LP was only a rehearsal. It hit hard because of the novelty of the act (allegedly the first supergroup in rock history), but felt more like a collection of individual efforts and ideas than a collective work. All doubts were dissipated by the release of Tarkus in 1971. Side one of the original LP is occupied by the 21-minute title epic track, beating both Genesis' "Supper's Ready" and Yes' "Close to the Edge" by a year. Unlike the latter group's cut-and-paste technique to obtain long suites, "Tarkus" is a thoroughly written, focused piece of music.

Just at the moment Mott the Hoople were calling it a day, David Bowie swooped in and convinced them to stick around. Bowie spearheaded an image makeover, urging them to glam themselves up. He gave them a surefire hit with "All the Young Dudes," had them cover his idol's "Sweet Jane," and produced All the Young Dudes, the album that was designed to make them stars.

Screamadelica is the third studio album by the Scottish alternative rock group Primal Scream and was their first to be a commercial success. It was released on 23 September 1991 in the UK by Creation Records, and 8 October 1991 in North America by Sire Records. Screamadelica peaked at #8 on the UK Albums Chart upon its initial release. The album was released to widespread critical acclaim, and is frequently acknowledged as one of the best albums of the 1990s. Screamadelica also won the first Mercury Music Prize in 1992.

On this date in 1980, John Cooper Clarke released his third album, Snap, Crackle & Bop. It contained the single, "Thirty Six Hours". John Cooper Clarke was a punk poet from Manchester, England, whose poems would often, but not always, be set to background music. And, oh yes, this single actually was hexagonal in shape. He opened for such bands as Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, Joy Division and The Fall. He still performs.
