LITTLE VILLAGE

Little Village foi formada em 1992 por Ry Cooder (guitarra, vocal), John Hiatt (guitarra, piano, vocal), Nick Lowe (baixo, vocal) e Jim Keltner (bateria). Este grupo de músicos que já havia trabalhado juntos como uma unidade - ainda que não sob o nome de Little Village - Gravação do álbum solo de John Hiatt, trazer a família em 1987.
Após nova convocação, em 1992, o nome do grupo foi inicialmente (e brincando), anunciado como Hiatus. Logo foi alterado para Little Village em referência a uma famosa diatribe desbocados em estúdio por Sonny Boy Williamson II em um álbum intitulado reedição Xadrez Bummer Road. Little Village gravou seu primeiro e último grupo bom álbum em meados de 1992. O registro auto-entitulado "um conjunto de canções compostas por quatro membros do grupo. As músicas foram cantadas em grande parte por Hiatt, embora Lowe levou chumbo em duas canções e uma Cooder.
Antes de seu lançamento, o álbum Little Village foi muito esperado por alguns. No entanto, o álbum foi nomeado para um Grammy Award na "categoria" Melhor Álbum ".
O lançamento do álbum Little Village foi seguido por uma série de shows bem-recebido em os E.U. e na Europa. No entanto, o grupo se desfez no final de 1992.
